May 13th 2008 - Veritasse at Christian Resources Exhibition
Aidan Meller, director of Veritasse, was manning the Veritasse stand at CRE at Sandown Park last week. He reported an enthusiastic response amongst church leaders to the download licence system available from the On-line Galleries. "Leaders were saying that they weren't even aware that churches could download fine artwork images from the Veritasse site. Many pastors are using digital projectors during sermons and services and are struggling to find high quality images to use. When I told them that they could buy a church licence for only £3 per image and download directly from the site, they were delighted!"
April 21st 2008 - Veritasse at Spring Harvest
A wonderful team of Veritasse artists and friends manned the stands at both Skegness and Minehead, allowing the print collection and artwork by artist members to be seen by an even wider audience. The title of the conference was "One Hope", a theme which was reflected in many of the pieces of artwork. Originals by Louis Parsons, an up and coming artist, based on creation and renewal, were received very positively and four were sold. Rosa Tidmarsh, prize winner in the recent Art For God competition in America, displayed her work at Skegness and was amazed by the attention it received. Jack Curtis, a young artist with plans to work with YWAM in Europe later this year, sold one of his larger paintings to a customer who was very touched by the image. The sale will help to fund Jack's step of faith! Equally important for volunteers was the opportunity to benefit from the wonderful teaching and worship at the event. One helper commented, "It gave me precious time to reflect and draw close to God." Another said, "I was pleased to hear the message that we can be real as Christians, allowing ourselves to cry and to laugh, rather than thinking that we need to maintain a facade of being completely sorted."
